AAFC Response to AGRI Committee Recommendations on Non-Tariff Trade Barriers to the Sale of Agricultural Products in Relation to Free Trade Agreements
February 16, 2018
The Ministry of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada provided a detailed response to to the Eighth Report of the Standing Committee on Agriculture and Agri-Food, "Non-Tariff Trade Barriers to the Sale of Agricultural Products in Relation to Free Trade Agreements." I am very proud of the work of my colleagues on AGRI Committee - we did some excellent work together. It’s great to see that our recommendations are being supported by the Government of Canada and I know these policies will help move the needle on Canada’s goal of reaching $75 billion in agricultural exports by 2025. I would specifically like to recognize and thank the Guelph talent who assisted the AGRI committee with this study, from researchers at the University of Guelph, to local agri-food businesses, and community leaders.
