Medical Assistance in Dying – Share your Thoughts

On April 14th, the Government of Canada introduced legislation that aims to give dying patients in an advanced state irreversible decline, who are suffering intolerably from a serious illness, the choice of a peaceful death.

The introduction of this legislation responds to the Supreme Court of Canada’s decision to strike down laws that prohibit physician-assisted dying in Canada.

As your Member of Parliament, it is important for me to understand your thoughts on this bill. The upcoming votes on this bill are free votes, and I intend to vote in the way that I believe best represents the people of Guelph.
