On April 14th, the Government of Canada introduced legislation that aims to give dying patients in an advanced state irreversible decline, who are suffering intolerably from a serious illness, the choice of a peaceful death.

In Mid-January, pre-budget consultation meetings were held throughout Guelph providing a genuine opportunity for the community to give suggestions for budget priorities. Guelphites stood as they did on October 19th, and announced their resounding support for investment in child care, renewable energies, increased access to broadband networks, and infrastructure.
