I am honoured to serve as Guelph's Member of Parliament, and I regularly re-evaluate my priorities based on what I hear in our community.
During the last election, I heard from community members about the importance of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050; addressing housing affordability and homelessness; ensuring families have access to high quality, affordable child care; supporting seniors while improving long-term care; and ensuring Canada's economy recovers and continues to grow.
In addition to addressing these priorities, the federal government is also addressing national and global issues, including the climate crisis, truth and reconciliation, and anti-racism. All of these were topics that were highlighted in the government's fall 2021 Speech from the Throne.
